Architectural Insulation
ACH Foam Technologies’ Foam-Control® PLUS+® is an architectural insulation product line with high compressive strength and R-value. Foam‑Control PLUS+ is a premium grade insulation manufactured to provide architects, specifiers, distributors, and contractors all the features and benefits inherent in a high quality insulation.
- Strength – Foam-Control PLUS+ comes in high compressive strengths of 15, 25, 40, and 60 psi.
- Stable R-value – Foam-Control PLUS+ has a high R-value that never changes and is stable over time.
- Moisture Resistance – Foam-Control PLUS+ is a closed cell polystyrene insulation and is resistant to moisture gain.
- Vapor Permeable – Foam-Control PLUS+ allows moisture vapor to move through its structure.
- Drying Potential – Foam-Control PLUS+ rapidly releases absorbed moisture. The stable R-value, Vapor Permeability, and Drying Potential of Foam-Control PLUS+ make it an architectural insulation like no other.

Performance Value
When you consider all performance characteristics and cost, Foam‑Control PLUS+ has the best performance value of any commercially available foam insulation. Foam-Control PLUS+ has a wide range of compressive strengths to meet specific project requirements. Foam-Control PLUS+ has air in its closed cells and therefore has a stable R-value. Many other insulations use blowing agents that cause R-value loss and are harmful to the environment. Foam-Control PLUS+ is manufactured to resist moisture absorption in wetting conditions and release absorbed moisture quickly during drying periods, which means Foam‑Control PLUS+ maintains R-value.
Foam-Control® PLUS+® outperforms XPS
- Foam-Control PLUS+ provides more R-value at a lower cost
- Foam-Control PLUS+ does not the use blowing agents that are used in XPS that cause R-value loss over time
- Foam-Control PLUS+ does not lose R-value during cold and extreme high temperature exposure
- Foam-Control PLUS+ has a stable long term R-value
- Foam-Control PLUS+ available in 15, 25, 40, and 60 psi strengths at a lower cost
- Foam-Control PLUS+ has shown to take on less moisture in building applications where water is present and has a higher potential to dry, than XPS
- Foam-Control PLUS+ has a superior drying potential
- Foam-Control PLUS+ is more vapor permeable to help avoid moisture problems
- Foam-Control PLUS+ is proven to meet or exceed Building Code Requirements and is manufactured to Quality Control Standards monitored by UL and recognized by national building codes.
