Foam-Control EPS roof insulation is very commonly used in low slope roof applications. Its use also spans to steep slope applications as well. EPS is used in low slope applications to create a taper in the roof that will allow water to drain if the roof deck is not structurally sloped. Using EPS for this application is by far the most versatile and easy-to-use for the contractor. The roofing industry has seen a lot of changes in the last decade and has been greatly affected by the business climate that the US has seen over the last 5-6 years. As a result, contractors are constantly looking for ways to differentiate themselves from others.

Foam-Control EPS allows contractors the ability to provide not only a great customized sloped roof, but a long-term R-Value that is unmatched by any other rigid insulation in the industry! ACH Foam provides a 20-year, 100% R-Value warranty on its products. There is no other EPS alternative on the market which provides that type of warranty, period!

Another benefit that EPS roof insulation offers is the ability for it to be used in place of other insulations that are limited in thickness; whereas EPS is not. ACH Foam can manufacture 4’x 8’ sheets up to 36” thick, while competitors are limited to 4” thicknesses. This amounts to huge time savings on labor and materials. Less insulation, adhesive and fasteners are needed to attach multiple layers, especially in tapered roof applications.

Foam-Control EPS roof insulation is also a great way to fill flutes in a metal deck. Contractors are often faced with the issue of having to span flutes with their insulation and are concerned with the lack of support between the top flutes. EPS allows them the ability to have the insulation pieces cut to the exact specs they need. ACH Foam Technologies can also manufacture the flute filler with a tapered edge for a really clean and customized installation.

Foam-Control EPS is also an option for steep slope applications. In this instance, nailbase roof insulation is typically used. Nailbase roof insulation is EPS adhered to an OSB facer. This product gives residential applications an excellent R-Value insulation with a solid wood surface for contractors to nail shingles or tile to.

This just names a few of the roofing products that ACH Foam offers in its Foam-Control EPS line. As you can see, EPS is literally unmatched in the roofing industry due to its versatility. Not to mention it is also recyclable and cheaper than other rigid insulation by up to 40%! EPS should always be a contractors #1, go-to insulation for roofing projects.
