Installation Instructions
Foam-Control® EPS exterior sheathing will be installed tightly where shown on drawings in Foam-Control® Sheathing Brochure. Provide ASTM type, size and thickness as stated in drawings or as part of this specification. Install in compliance with applicable building codes.
Apply material with large-headed staples or fasteners, with spacing not to exceed 12" o.c. vertically on studs. Regional requirements may dictate increased fastener frequency. Take care to protect material during installation. Install corner bracing as required by code. Apply code-acceptable exterior weather barrier per siding manufacturer's recommendations over insulation sheathing.
Design Consideration: System R-Values can be increased approximately 2.5 with the use of a bright foil laminate. A minimum 1/2" air space on the reflective foil surface of the sheathing is required to achieve this additional R-Value. (Reference: ASHRAE Handbook Fundamentals.) | More Literature
