For Immediate Release Date: June 29, 2010 Headline: ACH Foam Technologies Expands SIPs Operation to Nevada Plant to Accommodate Western US Construction Market RSS Feed
Denver, CO —ACH Foam Technologies announced the expansion of its Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) manufacturing operation into its McCarran, Nevada facility to better serve western US customers, specifically those in Nevada and Northern California. ACH Foam, headquartered in Denver, is a leading manufacturer of SIPs serving the construction industry nationwide. “We are excited about offering faster, more cost-effective shipping to our customers in the western US. Our McCarran plant is our most state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, ready to accommodate ACH Foam’s SIPs operation. With the recent approval of R-Control® SIPs for seismic zones D, E & F, ACH is poised to deliver the best possible customer service to the western region,” said Frank Kiesecker, Senior VP of Sales & Marketing. R-Control® SIPs are a strong structural system consisting of Foam-Control® Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) insulation laminated to oriented strand board (OSB) forming a structural panel. They are used in walls, roof, and floor applications. Notably, SIPs save between 30 and 40% in labor costs because they are quick and easy to install. They are also often chosen for their design flexibility, material cost savings and energy efficiency. In February of this year SIPs were tested and approved by NTA Inc., a third party laboratory, for use in seismic construction, making SIPS even more appealing to customers in the Western US and seismic areas.
